For those of us in our second or third act of life, home ownership presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Should we downsize? Should we relocate? Are we ready for a new adventure? Do we need extra help to live our best lives?
And where do we get information as we think through our choices?
As a Real Estate Broker and a retired licensed clinical social worker, I can provide you with helpful information so you can chart your own path.
And, of course, I can represent you if you do decide to buy or sell. But there is no obligation, no pestering.
A little about myself…. Before becoming a Real Estate Broker, I had a long career as a licensed clinical social worker and administrator, overseeing operations of a local nonprofit organization that helped sick and impoverished children. My duties included acquisition of property and building development, experience that directly informs my work as a Real Estate Broker. My management team and I developed and constructed three buildings – which included family apartments, a preschool, and other supportive programs that continue operating today.
I have an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an MA from the University of Chicago Crown School of Social Work as well as an MA in Theology from Trinity International University. In 2020, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, honored me as a Distinguished Alumni in Public Service (https://www.chicagobooth.edu/alumni/distinguished-alumni-award/honorees/cathy-krieger)
I enjoy spending time in the forest preserves and volunteering as a Master Naturalist with the State of Illinois. For more than 25 years, my husband Erik and I have been homeowners in Oak Park where we raised our daughter Jasmine and continue to live happily with our dog and cats.
I've known Cathy for almost 20 years. She was very helpful in helping me find my new condo. Once I zeroed in on the building I wanted to live in, it was just a matter of time before I found the right unit. Cathy then helped pull together a very solid offer that was accepted, and we closed a week ago. I love my new place. Even the seller was fabulous to work with, it was meant to be!
