Cindy Rubin serves buyer and seller clients in the North Shore area and Lake and McHenry counties. After growing up in Skokie and Glenview, where she attended Niles West and Glenbrook South High School, she lived in Buffalo Grove for seven years, followed by many years in Crystal Lake before finally settling again in Glenview, where she has been residing for the last several years. While in Crystal Lake, she was a Kindergarten teacher, and although she loved that job, Cindy had always been fascinated with residential real estate. She was told by a very successful real estate guru that teachers make great real estate agents. Described by others as genuine, compassionate, encouraging, respectful, loyal, and possessing integrity, it is easy to see why she was a much loved teacher and is now loved by her clientele. “My business is based on finding people their dream home by listening carefully to their wants and needs. The guru mentioned above is a long-time managing broker at Baird & Warner and the father of her son-in-law. An active volunteer, Cindy Rubin is a board member for Words on Wheels. She travels to domestic violence safe houses in Lake County. While the moms are having therapy, she helps bring literacy to their children, ages 0-5. Reading, music, puppets and bubbles are used to assist in bringing words to those at-risk children who need early intervention literacy opportunities. Every child goes home with their own activity bag which includes a book, instrument, puppet and bubbles. Cindy holds a BS in Education from Western Illinois University and a MA in Education from National Louis University. She is immensely proud of her children. Her daughter, Brittany, is a senior art director in advertising as well as a business owner on the side who makes “the best macarons you will ever have.” Brittany and Matt are the parents of Cindy’s adorable, sweet, smart and funny granddaughter, Vivienne, the light of her life! Cindy’s son, Greg, is a successful audio engineer in California, and although she misses him, he is right where he needs to be for his chosen field. When not at work, volunteering or spending time with her family, Cindy adores and dotes on her precious dog Baxter.
